Hi there, my name is David. This is my first attempt at a newsletter, and I hope you’ll join me on this journey.

The Publishing Poet, as you might guess, will focus on the writing and publishing life.

I’m a poet, but a lot of what I have to say (especially stuff about the publishing industry) will be relevant if you’re a short story writer.

If you dream of having your writing published in literary journals and working your way up to releasing a book with a traditional press, you’re in the right place.

I have fourteen years of experience in the publishing world. My poetry has appeared in places such as Columbia Review, Gargoyle Magazine, The Louisville Review, Poetry Ireland Review, and PRISM international. I’ve also had a chapbook and full collection published traditionally, with my next book slated for release in autumn 2025.
